Wondering if anyone got a mammogram prior to breast lift or augmentation?

Yes.
My surgeon in NY required it prior to my breast reduction w lift.  I was close to being due for my annual one anyway so it worked out well.

I had first one post surgery done recently.  Let me tell you....big difference between having it done with big floppy boobs and the new smaller, firm perky ones!

I go next Tuesday. I will be asking at that time if they do the new sonogram type ones.

My dr strongly recommended I get one prior to my breast lift.  He said it was good to have a baseline prior to our breast changing should any issues come up later and just to be sure everything was fine.

I had mine done a few weeks ago!  I think it's an excellent idea!

As was mentioned.. my PS recommended it but didn't require it... so that there is a baseline prior to surgery.  I had one about a month before.  I've had one post BL/BA and am due for another one next month.

My PS wanted me to get one and it worked out that I already had orders to get one from my PCP to get a baseline one since I don't know my family history. So I was able to kill 2 birds w/ one stone.

My PS did not mention it, but I had already told him I was going for my annual physical and mammo anyway.

I would think it would be prudent to do so before any breast work. If you had something going on, better to know beforehand, no?

I had one 7 months before my BL and that was fine, but if I hadn't had one that was recent (within 18 months), I would have been asked to get another one.  I have an extended arm lift tomorrow, which will include flank skin removal, and wanted to get mine done before this next round of plastics.
