For Dr S. patients...how did you pay?

Did you use financing,cash, cashiers check.  Do you know what kind of payment he accepts?  Thanks for your help....

He prefers a cashier's check made out in his full name.

You can do cash, wire transfer, cashier's check or credit card, but there is a 4% bank fee with a credit card.

I paid by Cashier's Check to Dr Francisco Gerardo Sauceda Mireles .  It all fit on the check if I left the (.) off after Dr. 

Are cashier's checks secure? If not, how did you get it there? Silly question, I know, but I would be totally OCD about carry over $10.000!!

Yes, they are secure.  It is certified funds from the bank.  If something happened to it, you could call the bank for them to stop pay on it.  I carried it in an envelope, zipped in a pocket, in my purse.  I handed it to Dr Sauceda as soon as we got to the hotel.  Since it is over $10K, I had to claim it on my customs form.  the customs form stated that if I was carrying cash, check, money order, etc over $10K, that I needed to claim it.  I talked to the flight attendant about it, and she said to claim it just in case I got searched.  She said that if I got searched and they found it, they could confiscate it if I didn't claim it.   I did claim it and my packaged food, and I did not get searched.

I am using a loan from my 401K. If I have to pay interest, I might as well pay it to myself!! Guess I will be getting a cashiers check too!!
