To extend, or not to extend: the Tummy tuck

I have my surgery in less than three weeks, and I'm torn. Via my ecnsult, Dr. S suggested regular TT. Then I lost a few pounds- really a few- and I was thinking I could use some pick up on the outer thigh, edge of my butt. Unfortunately, it adds another $1000 and more of a scar.
ALso, I'm still on the fence about calf lipo. I've only got one feedback about it.

Any suggestions?? Should I just be thankful and recongize that I'm poor/??

Personally I would go for the extended if that's what you want. If you ever want to go back and have it done it would be more than $1000. I'm so happy that I went for the LBL rather than just the TT (but I really needed it)

Is an extended tt same as lbl?

that's my question too.  can you have an extended tt without a LBL?  does that mean the doctor just goes around the entire body?

No, an extended TT goes further than the traditional ones, around the side, but doesn't go around the back.

did dr. s say it would be another $1,000?  that really isn't too bad.  did he say that it would be a LBL at that point or just an extended TT?

Yes, Dr. S gave me that price. We didn't talk extensively about it. From my pics, he didn't recommend it, and I really didn't think I needed it. I've been strength training like crazy to get ready for being sedentary from surgery, and now I get little wrinkles at the top of my thighs. I feel like I should stop trying for perfection- I'll be happy with the regular TT! But on the other hand, if I'm paying all this money, what's another $1000 debt to do it right. I don't know!!!!!

I would go for the extended tt. I just like the results better. Sure the scar is there but you will be really really tight or at least that's what it did for me.
