Dr. Sauceda Patients! Past and Future!
I am going December 29 for for a December 30th surgery for a TT, tummy lipo and a breast lift. :)
Will my cell phone work there? ATT? I will have my laptop and bring some books but will pack all those for the trip home. If you traveled home by yourself were you able to carry a laptop bag? I would have that and a small purse.
Do I need a phone card if my cell works or would that be roaming? I could probably setup Skype. I just like to text but could put international texting on for one month for $10 I think.
Jessica did you post a packing list? How many clothes did you need?

You will have weight restrictions for lifting. If your laptop weighs a lot, you might have to get a smaller one. I had a laptop that weights over 14lbs. I just bought a smaller one that weighs 4.8lbs.
I downloaded Skype onto my laptop. If your family has Skype also you can talk for free. If you have to call a landline there is a charge, but it's minimal. You'd have to check the site for the exact amount. I talk to my Boyfriend often while he's in India on business via Skype and it's totally free. You can do voice or webcam. Very convenient and the reception is amazing!
I would check with ATT and see what the cost would be to make phone calls from your cell phone. It can be quite pricey.

12/09 and 6/11, 9 skin removal procedures with Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico
Revised to the Sleeve after losing 271 lbs with the LapBand.
As far as ATT goes, it is expensive, we had international calling put on for one month and our bill was high. I am getting a calling card this time or just emailing from the computer in the hotel. I don't have a laptop so will wait to contact everybody when I move to the hotel. If there is an emergency I will give Dr S. a number to call. If you find out that att does international texting for $10 mo, please let me know. thanks, Carole

Leah,
I have a packing list on my blog, and it is on September 21st, I think. It is called "packing is hard to do! " The search function is not working on blogspot right now, so you will have to look back in the month of September to find it.
I took big T-shirts, loose lounge yoga pants, jersey type boxers, T-shirt type night gowns, tank tops, and a couple of pull over cotton lounge jackets. I also just wore my Uggs and flip flops.
I took a carry on bag that rolled. I put my laptop, magazines, snacks, U neck travel pillow, etc in that. I also carried a full size pillow with me on the way back, and that was a lifesaver!!!!!! I sat on it all the way home!
