Anyone know why????

So getting ready for my surgery two weeks away ... and as of today I was told to stop taking my multi vitamin because it contains vitamin E anyone know why we can't take vitamin E before surgery. I hope I don't get too tired and run down.
Very excited for the day to be here seems like it can't come fast enough however, I am extrememly nervous and still battleing whether or not I should be spending this money and being selfish...
Crazy how all this stuff plays with your head. Thanks for your support you all

Vit E is an anti-coagulant (sp) and can effect clotting during and how you heal after surgery.

I was told the same thing! No vitamin E!

No aspirin either.

Wow, I'm glad you asked this.  I was told no Vitamin E (my surgery is next Wednesday), but never even thought to check my multi-vitamin to see if it has it - of course it does!  Each one has 200% of the RDA of it and my doctor's been having me chew 3 of them a day for the last six months!  I'll stop taking that immediately!  Thanks for your post!
