Is it normal for skin to flake with Mederma?

 Hi All -  I started my scar maintenance and am using Mederma.  I notice already white flaky skin coming off. Is this a normal part of the process?  

I used to hate the way Mederma would turn my black sports bra white!
I think it's just the cream.  But I must say it did a good job on my breasts.
FYI - if you put silicone strips over the scar it helps.

 Thanks.  I've cometo the conclusion it's the Mederma flaking not my skin.  I have silicone sheets arriving in a few days and can't wait for even better results.
