Wire and wireless Bras?

I was wondering when do you start wearing wire bras again after breast implants?  I am still wearing sport bras, but I return to work on Monday and I hate the way sport bras look under my clothes.  Also, I am having a hard time finding attractive wireless bras.  I just ordered two online from Victoria Secret, but I don't want to spend a fortune on bras just yet, because I have not dropped completely yet (almost 8 wks post-op).

Any advice you can give me is greatly appreciated.

After my reduction last year my surgeon at about the 6 week mark said I could wear anything I found comfortable.  For me, I stayed in a sports bra.  I found the wire to painful on the incisions that wrap under the breast.  It was probably at the 3 month mark that I wore a wire again.  I know I waiting longer than most people.

I had my breasts re-lifted recently and am now 6.5 weeks out and again I find the wire painful so I'm in a wireless bra when I go out and a sports bra when at home.

Hope that helps........

Thank you for replying.  You are one of the few people I actually take advice from (LOL), I did try a wire bra and found it to be very uncomfortable, so I will stick with the sport bra for a couple more weeks.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the kind words.  I just try to share my experience in the hopes it helps someone else.  I knew nothing when I started out on my journey so I'm happy to help.

ANYHOW........  a couple days ago I say a bra advertised that I might check out this weekend...I'll let you know if I do.

Hi Sherline,
I had a BL ( no implants) and LBL on 08-20. I still can not wear underwire bras and I can't seem to find any cute ones without wires. I took the ones I already had prior to surgery and snipped a small hole and pulled the wires out. It seems to work. I just didn't want to spend money on nice ones and then have it not work. Next I'm going to buy something really cute and take the wires out. At home I still wear the sports bra. I agree, they don't make for an attractive look under my clothes =) Good luck finding the right thing for you!!!
