What brand of Silicone sheets is better?

 Who is the most effective?  Is there a certain type I should get?  Any tips for use?

Can't say which is best but I posted the same question on the board a few months ago and several ladies suggested teh CVS brand scar treatment sheets. I decided on those and have been using them on my arms for just under 3 months. I am prone to keloiding and my arms are doing quite well based on my other scars that I am not using anything on.

I've used the blue ones and the clear ones.

I've also used the CVS brand (they are small square shaped) on my breasts and was very happy with the results.

OK, am I missing something (obviously I am) -- what are silicone sheets, and what are they used for?  I haven't seen anything about this before ...

Many people use them post-surgery to help with scar fading (they are like strips of tape). Friend of mine used them on her TT scars and you can tell where they were used and not used, they do seem to help.

I am in Ontario Canada.  Can you tell me the name of where your friend got the silicone sheets from and how much they cost.  I priced a sheet today of approx 2 inches by 6 inches and it was $50.00


Also to anyone when you put this on the scar how long does it stay on and do you have to keep reapplying it every day? week?

Hey Wendy, I sent her an email and will post when she replies. I know it's a company based in BC so we don't have to pay duty. I think she said they stay on for a few weeks, but I'll ask again.

Thanks Bev I appreciate your help.  I didn't use anything when i had my tummy tuck or breast lift because one the scars look great and also you don't see them as the same as arms which is what i want these for.  I pull files and find i am always stretching and finding some places getting wider as a scar.  I am 3 weeks out from the surgery and thought i'd jump on this right away.
