Breast Massage Post Lift/Impants

Everywhere (including here) I've heard that you're supposed to start massaging your breast after impants. But when are you supposed to start and is there a certain motion to help them settle better? My doc never mentioned anything about massage - which is kind of weird to me - he just told me "wear the stablizer for 4-6 weeks, you'll be fine"

Sorry for the stupid question,

Cass

Hi Cass,
Even without implants I was told both after my reduction last year and my lift last month to massage the breast.
It was at the 4 week mark that I was told to start doing it.
I kind of rub around the nipple in circles...... and then I also run my thumbs downward from the highest part of the chest down over the top of the breast towards the nibble.   Does that make sense??   I often rub the side too just because it feels good around the incision that took care of my "side boobs".

Hope that helps.
FYI - massage also helps with the healing and nerve sensation

All doctors are different.  I had a  lift only yesterday.  My doctor said it was NOT necessary to massage.  He's never failed me in the past, to I'll follow his instructions.

My Dr told me to massage. His nurse told me I can put lotion on them and grab and squeeze all over and go in a circle motion and to also do it around the nipple. I was told it would soften my implants and the scar and help with scar tissue issues.
