Hate the drains

I removed my last drain all by myself and it didn't hurt at all.  It just felt weird though.  It was over like in 5 seconds.  I wasn't draining anymore and my appt was like 4 days away and I just called the dr's office and asked if it was okay.  I already knew what to do so it was no biggie.

Well ladies, I'm impressed.  I have a hugely, dangerously high pain threshold, but am sensitive to squeamish things having to do with my body.  For some reason, the drain removal hurt like hell, AND the whole ropey winding wierdness of it all as it left my body was way too much for me.  I would have done it by email, if I could have.

Blech, blech, ow ow ow ow blech.

Hi Cindy!
I know what you mean about the drains.....

Sorry you are having trouble sleeping.  I seem to do ok with lots of pillows to keep me up on a good incline.
I hope you'll have a better nights sleep tonight.

Other than that how are you doing?  Healing well?? I hope so!!!!!!!!
Take good care of yourself!

Yes had 3 of my 6 drains removed.  That has helped.  And I am moving around much better.  I ordered a recliner which will be here today.  But slept i/2 the night in the bed last night which is a record for me.  Since I had the fat to the butt, and the LBL and boob lift  It gets really uncomfortablwe to sleep on my back and can not sleep on my tummy and can't sleep on my side due to the drains that are left.

But hopefully within the next week they will all be out

And with the recliner I will have another option if I have trouble sleeping in bed 1/2 bed and 1/2 recliner  LOL  Got to have a system

Thanks for checking up on my

Hugs and kisses

I had pretty much the same procedures as you did.  The fat grafting has been the worst pain, but now that isn't as bad, and it is the lipo on my back that has the most pain.  I do sleep on my sides, and my drains never bothered me.  I clipped them to a lanyard around my neck, and they just lay in front of my boobs.

How much did he transfer to your butt?

I am not sure.  Forgot to ask that.

But I do know he took 17 pounds off my middle.  Still can't imagine that.  LOL

I will ask how much he put in my butt.  Yes the lipo and fat grafting has been the worst for me too.

I feel those drains sticking into my sides when I am on my sides.  Can't wait that is my favorite way to sleep.

I'm heading to the doc in a few minutes and hope to have at least one taken out....I hate them, too.  One is putting nothing out, one is very slow but some of the others are little overacheivers.  I find it difficult to get my water in and all my portein - just do the best I can.  Recovery from this is not for wimps....I'm wiped out 24/7.  I hope that as the drains come out things get a bit better.

I AGREE 100% NO WIMPS HERE.  It is pretty tough at first.  I would say the first week was very very hard.  This week feeling so much better.

I orginally had 6 drains now 3 but they are draining alot still.

So let me know when you get your drains out.

Hugs

Glad you are at least feeling a little better and felt like posting . I still have all 5 drains . I am hoping to get 2 out today and maybe another one tomorrow. The fourth one has slowed down a lot in the last day or so however the last one just KEEPS on filling up . It has went from very dark to a medium red and now looks like watered down apple juice .

Stay in touch and I hope the recliner helps you .

Talk soon Tony

I had a total of 6 drains but now only 3.  Thanks goodness.  Never had drains before so had to get over the gross out factor.  LOL

Are you still in Monterey?

I feel so much better than I did.  But still sore.  And of course the fact that I had foot surgery slows me down more.

But I do feel somewhat human again.

Glad your doing well.
