Has anyone had their plastics in an outpatient facility? I am planning a TT and breast augmentation and the doc has indicated that this can be done on an outpatient basis. If you have done this please share about your experience. Other thoughts?

Thanks!

mine was considered outpatient, but I spent the night in the hosptial.  Hospital called it a short stay - 23 hours.

Yep...I had an extended TT (anchor cut) and breast lift done as an "out patient" at the Dr's surgery center.  You'll find many, I'll bet most, people have it done at surgery centers rather than in the hospital.  Unless you are having something like the full LBL...then you will probably have to plan on being in a hospital and staying a couple nights.

Thanks for your insight! I thought it must be pretty common but most people here mention hopsital. If I wanted to do thigh lift that would require hospital stay and double the price. Not a current priority.

Ok, thanks for the input. I don't love it as an option but being in the hospital is no thrill either.

I had two surgeries at an out-patient facility,,one on May22 and one on June 2nd. The first one was for a lower facelift & arm lift. The second was for a TT & BL.

No problems having either done as an out-patient. The surgeries were in the morning and I was released to go home by late afternoon-early evening. I did have the option of staying overnight (no extra charge) but I wanted to go home. I HATE being in the hospital!!

I had my LBL done in an outpatient facility and the surgery was completed about 4 pm and I stayed in recovery until about 6:30 pm and then the ambulance came and transported me to the hospital where I stayed in a private room until about 11 am the following morning and then I was released.

My other two rounds of plastics were done in an outpatient facility and I was released to go home the same day.

Frankly, I am very glad I spent the night in the hospital after my LBL.  I was totally incapacitated - could not get up or move very well for the first several hours following surgery.

Following each surgery when I've been released to go home, I always have someone stay the night with me just in case something goes wrong.  Everything has worked out great in all cases.
