So I will be getting TT, BL/BA, little lipo, and booty grafting on Dec. 5th. Other than some fuller TaTa's :-) is it reasonable to think that I can pull off Xma dinner with extended family without them knowing I had this surgery? ie will be I able to walk regularly, stand up straight, and/or will my garment/binder be noticable if I am wearing normal clothes for the most part? My immediate family knows but the extended doesn't and I dont fill like sharing with them.
Thanks
Tammy

Tammy. these are great questions cuz I am NOT telling my mother or inlaws anything...unless/until I absolutely must. They would just freak to know that A) I was doing it at ll. and B) in Mexico, no less.

I dont have your answers, but hopefully PS alums will chime in and help you out.

I wish you luck in your journey and especailly in keeping it mum. BTW, if the tatas become a source of chatter, you can always claim "victoria's secret"...the wonder bra. That is my plan!

You should be fine by then.

You should be fine. Hopefully all your drains will be out by then (i had my last one in for 6 weeks). Other than that I was just more cautious when I was walking and sitting because things are still pretty tender at that time.

It probably depends on how much muscle repair you have done. I didn't have any booty grafting (not really sure what that entails), but you should be able to "hide" the rest. Your binder shouldn't be a problem and if all of your drains are out, you should be OK!! Good luck, you will love your plastics!!

I think you'll be fine, but two things to think about.  Your new store bought tatas will only be three weeks out and mine didn't fall into place for six weeks.  Those girls were practically in my neck when I came out of surgery!  I'd go with the VS push up bra excuse.

At three weeks out you should be able to wear something like Spanx for one day so you don't have on a binder, mine had a big ol hunk of velcro in the front and I looked like I was having a square baby.

As for not telling your extended family, make sure you tell your immediate family you're not telling them so you don't have someone asking them, "Doesn't Tammy's new butt look great?"  Just sayin',

It really depends on how you heal, and you may not know that until after the surgery.  I had never had complications with any surgery, but I still had drains at 4 1/2 weeks post LBL, and at 5 weeks post thigh lift.  I felt pretty good, but I couldn't hide the drains.

I had an LBL w/ butt auto-augmentation and was still hunched over a bit at three weeks. Was also walking a bit slower. Had lipo on my calves and was walking on my tip toes at times up to 5 or 6 weeks out.  Didn't have drains after the first week though - so I was very lucky in that department.

Three weeks out I still was VERY tired VERY easily  - I think if people didn't notice that something was done, they would have noticed how eaily I tired out just walking about the house and then having to sit down (on pillows) to rest quite often.

Another thing to keep in mind - I couldn't wear "normal" close for over a month because of swelling - I was wearing mostly sweat/yoga pants. i dont know how 'formal' your dinners are, but you might keep that in mind too....
