Start practicing sleeping on your back. Each night start out on your back, with pillows under your knees if necessary. Lie that way for a while as you get drowsy and then when it becomes a problem, roll over and go to sleep. I did this before my second PS and it helped when it became time to returmn to my bed from the recliner.
Don't forget to take a stool softener with each pain pill. Still a glycerine suppository or two may be needed. Good luck. Loris

I'm newly postop, so I'm not a pro, but for me:
1. I'm in a compression garment 24/7. When my drains were in, I wore nightgowns that snapped in the front. Now that my drains are out, I either wear comfy jammies or sweatpants and sweatshirt.
2. Dr. said I could shower this past Saturday...11 days postop.

Hope you are doing well and continue a trouble free recovery. Wow, 11 days and no shower, I'd be nuts. A friend gave me her compression garment so I'll have a spare when I need to wash mine.
