Teri,
I am so excited for you. You are going to love the new body. It's so amazing how much confidence it gives you once you can really see and appreciate all of the weight you have lost and then have the body to showcase it. I can't wait to read about and see your results. I hope the next 4 weeks pass quickly for you!
Renee

Thanks, Renee!
I hope it goes quickly too. I am not telling my mother about this...she would freak to know I was spending money on this, and in Mexico, no less. Eh, what she doesnt know....right?
I told Doc and Robbie you said HI and they smiled and said "Oh...she is so sweet! How is she?" so..I delivered your message. (In case you have forgotten, I mentioned a month or so ago that I was going there and you said to tell them HI!!,
Maybe some day, we will meet there. I ran into Elizabeth N last week and didnt recognize her. She has proven how effective the DS can be. She was just a couple of months before me and to my 110 lb loss, she has lost about 245!! And looks like a whole new person. I was blown away at HER before and after, (and she is the most educated woman I know on the subject of WLS...you can tell she did her homework for a good long time before having it!!)
Be well, Renee,
Teri

Thank you for telling Doc and Robbie hello for me. I talk to them occasionally on the phone and through emails. I wish I was closer so I could see them more, I just love them both!
Elizabeth N came to Scranton for the support group meeting and I was 9 days out from surgery back in Feb. 2008. A group of us went to dinner ( I had half a cup of soup) and then to the support group meeting. She was about a year out from her DS and had lost a lot of weight. Well, since then she has lost a ton more and looks totally different from when I met her. She has made a total transformation.
I went back to see Doc for my 1 year follow-up and got to meet Sharon (HappyCatbert) and Diana77. It was so nice to meet them and we had a nice dinner out with Robbie. Doc was sick and couldn't make it but I went to see him at the office the next day. I hope to make trips back and hopefully we can meet up. I'd love that. It's so nice to meet in person the people that we interact with here n the boards. I'll keep you posted as to when I might be making a trip back and we'll try to arrange a meeting.

I guess I had mine just a year before you (I was2 /26/07) and I met ElizabethN at a meeting too, about 2-3 months out. She blows my mind!!
Sharon is a cutie, isnt she? And what a speaker. Last meeting I went to, she was the guest speaker and was such a natural. I was impressed.
Yeah, you gotta let me know when you are coming up and we gotta ALL get together, That would be sooo cool.
We ought to get BODY BY BILL tee shirts made up! lol

Sorry I did not even look to see what kind of WLS you had . I was comparing it to my sleeve which was actually very easy to recover from . My hardest part was the 2 week liquid pre op diet . Plus I quit caffeine at the same time so it was pretty ugly . Big fat guy giving up both at the same time -- trust me -- you did not want to be around me those two weeks !! LOL
The other two seem to be recovering a little faster than me . Might be I pressed a little to hard at first or the fact of what all I had done at once. Problem is I have always bounced back so quick from every surgery that I have every had so quick that I was hoping this one would be the same !! Guess I had my hopes set just a little TOO high ! But please don't get me wrong -- I am very happy and actually not as much pain as I was planning for -- but just don't have enough energy to do a whole lot .
And I am not flying bac****il the 20th . I wanted to give myself plenty of time to heal since Dr S was going to be removing so much off of me . So I still have time to maybe get out and see the sights .
And the hotel is very nice . It is just like most Hamptons that I have stayed at in the States and another city in MX . They have a little breakfast bar every morning and a Happy Hour on Tues. , Wed. and Thur. nights so we can get something for dinner for free . The other times you can order in or walk to one of the places close by the hotel . About any kind of food you want from MacDonalds on up .
And the lastest news on Debbie is she has improved so much that she is wanting to be moved to the hotel !! Guess we will have to waitr and see about that !! But all I can say is when I saw her yesterday -- she was very pleased so far !!
Talk soon
