I'm having MTL & BA/BL. Can't wait to get rid of some of my thunder thighs and have the girls be where they are suppose to be. Can't imagine what it will be like to put on a bra w/o having to bend over and shake the girls into place, then adjust  them again once I stand up.

Clir, to be honest it didn't happen like that.

First-- you don't actually lose what you think you will-- I lost 220 pounds but the pannus flap was about 9 pounds.

Second, you're in a good amount of pain and swell alot (and those who lose more skin tend to swell more I am told), so while there's no overhang you're still quite poochy and puffy.

Post op I couldn't even get into my pre-op pants. So there wasn't a sudden slimness or anything.

It happens by degrees. In my case I just felt more like myself-- the skin hang was the anomaly.

I don't expect a sudden slimness but I do know that the belly that hangs 10 inches below the hips will be gone.  I just can't imagine not having that apron hanging down in front of my body.  I expect some soreness of the skin on top of my thighs because they have not been exposed in years.

Shari is exactly right.  Hard to imagine a 35 pound panni.  I had six pounds removed.

Someone here once wrote that they were "worried" that they would miss their panni.   For me, it was like having a wart removed.  Good riddance!  I felt like a normal person after my plastics - like I had finally been finally cured.

I am only going with my surgeon's estimation of what he thinks it weighs.  I have a lot of flesh in my tummy, not just a hanging panni.  I've chatted with other SMO individuals who have had the same surgery and they each have had an excess of 30 lbs removed.  So, if that is what is removed - ok.  If not, I am ok with that too as long as I don't have this hanging apron of flesh!

I'm about five weeks post op from my LBL. I only had nine pounds of skin removed. I'm told that I will still shrink because I'm swollen but its hard to imagine. I already feel so small. These are some of the things that I noticed:

Pants don't stay up because my hips are not as wide to hold them up.

My butt is so flat...to me it is anyways, my friends say it looks the way it should though!

I have a cute belly button and it's up higher where it shold have been all along. :D

When I shower I keep forgetting I don't have a flap of skin to clean under.

I look down in my lap and I can see straight down between my boobs.

Everything else looks flabbier and slobby compared to my flat belly now. I want new boobs!!

The other night a friend took some pictures of me and when I saw them afterwards I looked so NARROW. I thought he had phtoshopped me, but no it was really me!

....oh, and ....my uhhhh, girl business looks different too. It's skinny and much more exposed now. It's weird.

It is AMAZING! The very first moment I could reach down and NOT feel several lumps of fat was thrilling. I swear every single time I walked past a mirror I would lift up my shift in awe. I loved my new belly button and I felt like a ******y new woman. I only had 7 pounds removed so your results should be fantastic if you have faith and have chosen a surgeon with skilled hands. BEST WISHES!
From 251 to 141 and LOVING every minute of it! From a size 18 to a size 6-8!

I know there are many of us here who were just in awe of losing between 5 and 10 pounds of skin so I cannot imagine what you are going to feel even if it's just 25 pounds of skin.  I think it is going to make a world of difference for you and you are going to be so happy!  I lost 10 pounds of  skin and I still can't believe it's gone.  It's almost like you're looking at someone else's body.  I can tell you that no amount of tugging comes close to experiencing the real thing.  I know, I did it on a daily basis!

Congratulations on your weight loss.  That's just amazing!
