Hello all, I know this question has been answered before. Does anyone have United Healthcare for insurance and they paid for a panniculectomy?

it really depends on the employer's plan that you have.  each employer purchases a different plan - some pay for plastics and others do not.  some have total exclusions for anything cosmetic.  the only way to know if your plan will cover it is to call UH and ask specifically about your employer's plan.

To echo what was previously mentioned, you need to check your specific plan. I had my lower-body lift paid for by UHC but I had to appeal and I had to prove MEDICAL NECESSITY which was a bit of a challenge.

I had to form a team of myself, my attorney, my plastic surgeon and my primary care doctor....but we did it!
