I get to .....

I haven't been on here for quite sometime. I have been kinda down.. My husband got so pissy and quit talking to   me for a week because I went for a consultation to see what tummy tuck would cost. So I just kinda gave up for now.  WELL last Friday night he came into eat supper with me at work and he was talking about some woman with saggy boobs.. I said what is wrong with saggy boobs? he said nothing.... I told him I can deal with my saggy boobs and my saggy butt but i can't deal with this muffin top!!!!  He told me to call this other ps I found ( closer to home, a friend told me about) and see what it would cost!!! I am so excited!!! Now I just have to hope and pray that he is cheaper since he isn't in the big city!!!!

Thank goodness he is coming around to the idea of PS. I can definitely associate with you. My DH was not too keen on me having PS either ( he wasn't keen on WLS either). Now that he got used to the idea of PS, he wigged out when I mentioned maybe going to Mexico. I am hoping he will see the light soon!!

My husband didnt say a word about wls because my insurance paid it all but $400!!! I was VERY lucky but ps of course they won't pay for any of it soooooooooo it is up to him!!!!!  He didin't talk to me for a week  both other times I went for a consultanion, so I am very pleased he is talking about it now. the dr I am going to is very reputiable and is in a good hospital close to home so I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying it will work out.  He has no idea how it makes a women feel to have lost all this weight but still have this muffing top hanging!!!!!  I thought about going to Mexico and decided againest it when my nurse daughter had a FIT!!!!!  Oh well........

You should also check out the residency programs in your area it is normally MUCH less expensive and you still get to go to a good hospital and very talented experienced surgeons are there to supervise most of the procedures.  Many folks here have used the programs and had great results.

Hey, with the big savings you might be able to convince your DH to have the boobs done at the same time....

My husband is  very conventional when it comes to medical proceedures.  I have to tiptoe the subject into a conversation.  He thought the WLS was a little extreme but I came to the conversation armed with facts and when he found out it could cure my diabetes, he was more open to the subject.

I started talking about PS before I even had WLS.  Then last week I let him know I was going to pursue and I would probably be looking at a surgeon out of state or perhaps Dr. Saucedo in Mexico.  He was kind of skeptical, but I told him about all those on this board who had used these two surgeons.  That seemed to relieve his mind so I am aggressively seeking consults while his mind is still open.

I'm so glad that your husband is coming around.  My husband will have a fit when he finds out I want to have plastic surgery.  I brought some paperwork home from the OH conference and he was like "what's this!".  But if I can come up with the money, I will have it done regargless.  I'll just tell him you either stand by me or basically get out of the way :).

I'm thinking that maybe Wash Univ. St Louis may have a residency program.

I went to  wash u residency program  mine was going to be around $6200!  I am hoping the one I am going to on the 20th is cheaper..... We are a long way from being well off to be able to just fork out $62oo so I have my fingers crossed! Good luck to you!

I met a Dr Panos out of Champaign and he said the cost for a TT was about $6000.  I'm going to see him on the 26th and ask for costs for breast lift and TT.  We'll see what he says.  I won't be having any surgery for at least a year.  I'll try to keep you posted.  What city are you having your consult in?

The dr I am seeing is in Effingham, Il. A friend of my had him do her chin and was very satisfied so i am going to check him out.  hopefully all will be good and i like him..
