My sister had reconstruction of her right breast after a mastectomy for cancer. She  says mammograms are extremely painful because they "pull/push the implant out of the way."  After losing 97 lb. I have an appointment October 15 for a breast lift.  I still can't decide if I want a small implant.  For those of you with implants, what have been your experiences with your mammogram?
Thanks for sharing.  Barb

Hi Barb, Have your implants put under the mscle so the mamogram can see well and also make it a digital mamogram if you have implants.

My surgeon does do under the muscle and I just found out at my 9/28/09 yearly mammogram that our OSF Susan B. Komen Women's Health Center does do digital mammograms.  Thanks for the suggestions.  Barb

Good question Barb I am glad you asked. I have not had a mammogram since my surgery so I look forward to any responses you get.
