Mine covered it but that was 4 years ago, I don't know what Anthem Blue Cross policy is now.  I had rashes and sores almost constantly and kept getting yearst infections in my arm pits from the extra skin.  I submitted several dozen photos of the sores to the insurance.

No.

9 inches of extra skin-- Hydradenitis Suppurativa, letters from 5 physicians, 3 years of photo history (over 20 photos), oozing intertrigo, copies of prescription antifungals---

and no.

No it wasn't covered.

WOW, I would think they would have! What insurance do you have? Did they cover any of your work?

Seems like Anthem Blue Cross PPO is the way to go!  I JUST found out my brachioplasty will be covered by my insurance TODAY.  Thank God and thank Anthem!  Sooo relieved.... I have rashes and itchyness under my arms.  I cant wear regular deoderant anymore and I have to put creams and it still did not help.  This really isn't purely cosmetic!

I have Anthem Blue Cross PPO, and yes, they covered it.  My PS submitted all the paperwork, so I am not sure how that was worded.  He did submit photos.   Good luck!
