Surgery in October/UHC insurance

I am starting to count down the days. My surgery is 4wks away from tomorrow. 10/28/09. Just a few days after my 40th birthday. I am having anchor cut tummy tuck, breast reduction and spiral thigh lift. Also lipo as needed. I have been frustrated with trying to get insurance to cover. If I am successful and anyone else have United Health Care through the fedral government, I will send you the information they provided to me showing when they would allow coverage. My surgery is with Dr. Kerry Owens in Maryland. I get an answer from my insurance compnay on Friday as to whether or not they will cover the surgery. keep your fingers crossed for me. Husband says I am getting it done no matter what!

i have United healthcare also..did they cover your weight loss surgery? Mine wouldnt cover anything. Let me know if you get approved! 

Yes, they covered my Lap Band back in 2006. My doctor  had no problem getting it covered. I was 5'4 and weighed around 233 at the time. I will let you know if I am successful. Best of luck to you. Insurance companies can be so difficult.. it's very frustrating!
