I'm backkkkkkk!

I had my surgery on Sept 3.  FTT, MR, BL, BA, Arm Lift and Lipo.  10-12 lbs removed.  I have a home daycare some I am still not ready to go back to work.  Saturday I started feeling much better and I have only gotten better since then.  I still have to keep my arms wrapped and I cannot wear deodorant either.  SHEWEE!  LOL!  I have open sores in my arm pits.  They don't hurt unless they get stretched too far.  I feel like I'm doing really well!
I go for my one month apt Thursday.  I'm down 5 lbs today.  Tomorrow is my actual weigh in day so we will see tomorrow what happens!
So, my advice to anyone looking forward to this surgery is to be prepared, because its not an easy time.  But it will be so worth it once you are feeling back to your old self.  I am getting in and out of bed much easier.  I went shopping and I have bought a couple of cute halter tops for next year.  I am so excited to wear them!  I have my flat little tummy with my killer belly button and my perky "girls".  The scars on my arms look scary to me.  I hope they heal better then they look right now.  But HEY my arms will be normal size once I can get past the swelling.
Its all worth it!!!  Good luck to pre-ops and happy healing surgery buddies!

Congratulations.  Don't forget to buy that killer bathing suit -- NOW while they are still on clearance!!!!!!!  Landsend is a good place to look.  Look on the overstocks page.

Hi Kim,
So glad you are feeling better and the tide is turning for you.

AWESOME that you lost 5 lbs already!  I'm jealous...
How is your swelling?  I still have swelling in my thighs and butt....not much really in the tummy just a small puffiness by the lower incision line....it's the thighs and butt that got me.
Thanks for sharing!
Ruth

PS- be real careful with the arms...it took me 6 weeks before I could really stretch them.

Hi Ruth,
I'm still swollen.  I measured my waist that morning before surgery and I am up 2".  It has to be swelling because that big ole gut of mine is gone!  I can feel the puffiness but its going to be going away!  (I hope!)

Don't be jealous, I was up 2 lbs for my weigh in day!  So I'm only down 3 from surgery day.

I worry about doing too much because of my right Breast.  It looks different then my left one.  Its up higher and I have rippling around the areola on the right breast.  Hopefully it will all work itself out.  I go back to my PS for my 1 mo visit on Thursday, so I will see what he says then.

Should I be sweeping and doing things as long as I don't hurt?  My PS office told me I could do my elliptical ofter 1 week.  I thought I must have misunderstood her so I haven't touched it.  I just got my strength back this past weekend.

TTYS!

Hi Kim,

When I came home I was up 2.5 lbs........BUT I know the swelling is more like 5 or more lbs because of how swollen/large my thighs and butt got.  I also believe that first week after surgery I probably lost at least 3-5 lbs from not eating.  Soooo net/net I was up the 2.5 which probably would have been more if I had not lost some weight.

Since then I lost the 2.5 lbs plus I just lost another lb last week so I'm 1 lb lower than my surgery weight.  Not sure how this week will go because my legs are little more swollen the last 2 days (I went to a picnic on Sunday and got all swollen).  I'm preparing myself for an increase on Saturday.

My tummy is down almost 3 inches  after surgery (I'm happy about that).  All my swelling is in the thighs and butt......I just wi**** would go away...........  Oh Well.

I'm planning to get back on my treadmill this coming Thursday morning....it will be 4 weeks ago tomorrow that I had surgery.  I think I can handle walking......I'll just do 20-30 mins to start and see if I can work up to 40-60 in a week.

We both have to just be careful we don't over do it.....
Take it easy!!

PS- Isn't it interesting....my left breast looks worse than my right one.  My left one is higher and has more rippling or puckering around the areola.  My surgeon keeps reassuring me that it will be fine.  I'm choosing to trust him.  Keep me posted on yours is doing and I'll do the same.

Just this morning when I checked the incisions I thought the left one might be slightly better but not sure...will check again tomorrow.

Take care

Are you left handed?  I'm right handed, PS office told me my right one was that way because my right hand is my dominate hand, therefore my muscles were used more, keeping the implant higher....
