Oh dont misunderstand me...I know in TORONTO there are 2 or 3 plastic surgeons that are WONDERFUL. However out in Alberta...the couple I saw were AWFUL. Wanting to BREAK my ribs to give me an hour glass figure...WOAH...no thanks! But I agree there are FABULOUS surgeons in Eastern Canada.
Sorry for making that "lumped together" statement.
There really are good AND bad everywhere...but I think Mexico gets its reputation unfarily for the most part.

Hey Girl

It's me  -- the guy with the "y" .         How have you been doing ??   Long time no see !  Hope you are still loving your life after WLS and P/S  ??

I think most people on OH agree with what you are saying about there being good and bad surgeons everywhere !!  However there are a few on here that just can not understand it for some reason. But I have to say you are "dead" on with the part are Mexico getting a bad wrap !!   I was lucky enough to have my sleeve performed in MX by Dr Alvarez and would not change a thing !!

I fly down Friday to see Dr S again and my surgery is on Saturday !!    Stay in touch and I will let you know how everything goes !

omg i can't believe there is anyone that barbaric to suggest breaking your ribs .  That reminds me of women getting their corsett pulled in so tight to have the tiny little waists. or rings on a womans neck to give her the high regal look from other countries.  I had no idea this kind of crap is practiced.  I feel we have to go where we feel comfortable.  Your always going to get someones opinion telling you your crazy for what you are doing.  I had some tell me i was to old (i'm 56) others telling me in this ecomomy i am being selfish in which i replied "did i ask you for the money"  Congrats on your decission

Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I feel exactly the same way and cannot wait to get to Mexico.  I know it is hard for people to understand that some things can be better than the U.S.  I have yet to hear of another Dr that comes to the hotel or comes to your house everyday or more than once a day after surgery for almost 2 weeks!  I have yet to hear of another Dr picking their patients up at the airport himself!  The quality of care that people receive from Dr Sauceda is almost untouchable.  I am not saying that other Dr's do not care about their patients, but I am saying that Dr Sauceda goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are well taken care of.  This isn't just coming from 1 of his patients, but all of his patients that I have spoken or chatted with.  This is the way he has chosen to take care of his patients, and I commend him for that.

I leave for Mexico in 8 days, and I am so confident in my decision.  I know I have made the right choice, and I cannot wait to add to the praises that Dr Sauceda receives.  I will be keeping my blog updated as much as I can during my trip.

I am pretty sure I'm going to leave Dr Quiroz and go to Dr Sauceda instead for the remainder of my PS.

I love Mexico!

Thank you for saying what has been on many of our minds!  I am so happy with my decision to go to Dr. Sauceda!  I feel blessed to have found him.  He is an artist and this is evidenced by his work that I've seen here and on other websites.  He's amazingly attentive!  I think too many times people have judgement against doctors outside this country.  It's closed mindedness that is very unfortunate.  My grandmother had breast cancer and was given 6 weeks to live back in the 70's.  She went to a clinic in Mexico and was treated with such loving, positive and good care that when she returned to the states, she lived another year.  A year with a full head of beautiful long hair, an appetite and strength to spend some very sweet moments with her family.  There are good doctors everywhere just as there are bad doctors everywhere.  I'm an RN and I see it almost everyday.  The Good and The Bad.  We need to use our brains and make good solid choices when it comes to our bodies.  I believe I've made an excellent choice.
