Requesting some information....
Hi Everyone...
I had my RNY surgery last year on July 10th, 2009.
I have lost a total of 93pounds and I'm in desparate need of a TT/BL.
I also have my FIRST appt on Tuesday with a surgeon. I have done reviews on him and past surgeries he has performed. What should I be asking or telling him in order for this to move along?
I am really looking for my insurance company to approve... but are there inside talk that I must say. I have began with rashes on my stomach area and I know that this is something that insurance companies go for in order to approve.
TELL Me please... I'm listening.

HI there!!!
I also had Khalili (and met you at his support group meetings some time ago). If you are going with the surgeon that Khalili recommends, I can assure you that this PS already knows the appropriate language for pursuing insurance. His office is now very, very good at it.
This PS will also actively encourage you to comparison shop the work of other surgeons, so that you are well educated about the procedure.
As for what you need to tell him .... tell him EVERYTHING about your health and lifestyle that could possibly impact your recovery.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I agree. Informing your surgeon and his practice on details is very important! Make sure you do plenty of consults, and spend a lot of time looking at before and after pictures. Remember...this is your body, so put in some quality time to educate yourself on these procedures.
