still have one drain left

well had my tt and hernia repair done 8/26 and i still have one drain left. it is draining 21 cc's still, but that is down from 60 in a 24 hour period.  hopefully i will get it out in a week or so. can't wait for the little holes to heal and the incision (which is 43 inches long) so i can get my dogs in my lap.  one talks to me all the time because he doesn't understand why mom can't hold him. i'm not willing to take chances though with getting an infection.  another two weeks and they should be balanced on my lap again, all three, with the cat on the back of the chair.  how is everybody doing?  hope all is going well for those who have had surgery and for those who are waiting, i hope it gets here quickly. vick

I'm with you....I can't wait to get my drain out.  My poor baby (dog) is just dying to jump on my lap and I keep pushing him away.  :-(
