Liposuction? 

I have read many post about lipo and a combo of tummy tucks, breast lifts, augmentations, etc.  I wanted to know the experience of scars and bruising from liposuction.

I had some minor lipo on just one arm as a revision to my brachioplasty (not sure how I still had some fat on one arm and not the other, but I digress...) and the bruising was SIGNIFICANT.  The scar from the lipo is very tiny (only about half the size of my lap gallbladder surgery incisions) and almost unnoticable after 7 months.

Vitamin E oil makes scars practically disappear.  You can't even tell I had gastric bypass because after the scars healed I started using Vitamin E oil.

I had some nasty bruising from my lipo but no major scars.  The swelling from the lipo was a bear and took 3 months for me to see the finally results.

I had the extended anchor cut tt. My scar isn't too bad. I had the open bypass so I already had a big scar in the middle of my stomach. I had my gallbladder taken out when I was 15. I'm 34 now and the surgery that they offer now to remove a gallbladder was not out then so I had two really big scars on my stomach. My surgeon removed my gallbadder scar and my bypass scar and created a totally new scar with new belly button. She did and amazing job. Better than I ever expected in my wildest dreams. Now the lipo is another story. I brusing isn't too bad but the pain is something else. Everyone is different but it feel like someone toke a bat and kept hitting me on my sides. As long as you keep you wrap on kind of tight you should be fine. I doning better now and can't wait to see the finished product.

More scarring from my thigh lipo (saddle bags on the out side) than the entire rest of my body undergoing LBL. Hurt worse than the other too. Doc said this was because the nerves were disconnected where the incisions were but not where they did lipo - not that I cared but HOLY CRAP!!! I didn't expect the lipo to be worse than a freaking body lift!!!!!!!!!! (PS - calf lipo hurts worse than my worse nightmare - omg, no wonder most docs wont do it - YOWSERS! spent weeks on my tippy toes cuz I could put my heals down after that.)

I remember doing over 200 calf raises (I was about 200lbs at the time)...I could not walk (flat foot) for almost a week.  I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!
