This question comes up a lot.......
It is related to the Anesthesia not the type of surgery. It is normally temporary. The anesthesia often (not always) causes the follicle cycle to go into a resting or sleep mode. Normally it does "wake up" but can take 3-6 months. Keep in mind if you have multi procedures you compound the side effect but again the good news is the hair does grow back and most people do not go bald....just thins out. I had a lot come out after my arm surgery in March......it really started to fall out in July and Aug. I did a ton of research on it because I was so freaked out.
