Fat Injections...confused

A PS told me that anytime "fat" is injected into another part of the body, there is a chance that it will get dissolved again, because it is just fat. I met with a different PS and he told me there will not be an issue and it is a more natural approach. I am considering fat injections in my face; under my eye lid and laugh lines.

Thoughts? Experiences? Help...

My facial specialist tells me that he thinks it's useles and can't be contained. My body plastics guy says that's BS and that he's had tremendous success with fat grafting and it stayed put terrifically.

My face guy's work left a bit to be desired, my body guy's a genius. So next year, I am getting a lil' bit o' my ass transplanted into my face! :)

hahahhahaa...love the way that sounds!

I talked to a few people, they have all been pro-fat grafting and not to fond of the Botox/Jurvderm kick

It depends what the purpose is. My botox experience was the best $200 I have spent yet!

I see ur point...I think the forehead botox would be a better deal.

My nasal labial/laugh lines is KILLING me and under my eyes makes me look tired. I am not sue how my PS will inject fat on the lower part of my eyelid...for a more youthful look.

I've been told that fat transfers to the face work better than transplanting it to other areas of the body. For example.....pulling fat from the thighs and pumping it into the butt to built it up doesn't work too well. They say it gets absorbed and "shifts". I guess it's because it's a larger area, we sit on it so it probably moves or squishes the fat around. Somehow it made sense to me when a PS explained it to me.
