Finance/credit companies for PS
Hi everyone,
I'm sure this kind of thing is asked all the time here, so please be patient with me. :-)
I'm about 2 1/2 yrs out from RNY and have lost 150 pounds. I am planning on a brachioplasty and mastoplexy. I was all ready to apply to CareCredit, but then found out my dr. office doesn't work with them or other companies. I have excellent credit, so I know I'd qualify with a financing company, and I could do the monthly payment (just can't pay all up front). Insurance definitely won't cover it. Do any of you know of any financing or credit companies that give you the money (then you pay the dr.), rather than paying the dr. directly? Not sure what else to do other than to change drs., which I don't want to do.
Thanks for your help!
Marie

If your ps participates with the GE Care Credit that is a good resource.... as you can choose the amount of time you'd like to pay it off in.

My credit union is willing to let me finance mine for 7.9% unsecured personal loan for 3.5 years or 6.25% secured (under an open home equity line of credit) over up to 10 years.
credit unions are WAY more willing to work out a great plan that works well for you, especially if you have good credit (like over 720 or so).
This also benefits you because you're not limited to the limited provider networks of the "medical credit" people or be subject to those 'teaser' rates that turn into like 15.99% or 22.99% balloon rates that are retroactive if you dont pay it off in line 6 or 9 months - OUCH.
