LBL binder question

Just wondering about the binder (s?) post LBL. I am having a vertical incision in addition to the circumferential and was trying to figure out how all that will be binded. Are there two binders (one for lower and one for upper)?

Two weeks tomorrow

Thanks

Hi Bev

I had the LBL (no vertical incision) and medial thigh lift and my surgeon used the Design Verenique compression garment that covers from thehigh waist down to the mid thigh. That would cover vertical incision. Worked really well for me.
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery and I hope you have an uneventful and quick recovery!

Thanks so much for the input, I googled that and found a picture. Did you have any trouble getting in and out of it? With all those incisions can you bend liek that to get something tight on? Man, having to pee is going to suck!

EDIT: actually, they may be zippered which would certainly help things =)

No not at all. The garment has the hook and eye closure w/zippers up-down each side. You can do one side and then the other or go back and forth. And the straps keep it up although I also wore it without the straps sometimes and it stays up pretty well

It also has the open crotch so you do not have to remove it to go to the bathroom. I have had two rounds of PS using these garments and you really can go 'tinkle' with them on if you have the right size.  I also was able to do #2 but I usually would drop one side since I didnt do that to often. Sorry if thats a little to much info.

The one I used is below.

This is exactly the garment my doctor provided.

I have no idea whatsoever how they got me into it when I was unconscious!

I was also given a white elastic binder.

Cool, well I'm glad I asked because I was envisioning trying to get in a spanx like garnet by myself (I live alone) with all those incisions!

No veritical incision here with my LBL but I used the same garment that was mentioned. I loved the darn thing.  I had two so I could wear one while I washed the other.  Both of mine were larges and I wore a size 4 in pants preop.. and small shirts.  JUST FYI... they run SMALL
