Final cost of tummy tuck

Ok, so today I get a call from the hospital stating I do have a co-pay and the amount is going to be (drum rollllllllllll) $492.23. I can't believe it. That's all. I was scared she was going to say something like $2k. Actually I wasn't expecting to pay anything but hey $492.23 is better than $6k. For those of you who want to know the type of insurance I have it's BCBS of Michigan Community Blue.

Congratulations on the good news.  Wow, $492.23 is a hell of lot better than $6,000!  Good luck on your upcoming surgery.

Thank you and by the way you look nice. I never made it to my goal of 160 but hey!! I do like the way that I look and really can't wait to have my tt tomorrow. Pray for me and I will post when I get home from the hospital.

Wow that is really good.  Were you getting the surgery because of problems you were having?  The reason I asked is because I know most time I hear insurance wont pay because its cosmetic  surgery so I was wondering what made them pay.

No I didn't have any problems beside just wanting to get rid of the extra skin. I didn't have a rash but I do sweat alot under the skin.

Thats is great news!!  I financed $9,000.00 through care credit.  My insurance wouldnt pay a penny, even if medically necessary.

I have BCBS of TX and was starting to check on how I can get surgery through them.
I lost a total of 70 lbs. and before surgery I always did want to get a tummy tuck.  that's after having a hysterectoomy years ago so I'm have a quest.
