I'm 21. And I need advice!
Wow I was tired last night. Thats some fancy typin. Well I checked with the folks who authorize the surgeries and what they need for documentation.
1. A letter of medical neccesity so the more letters the better
2. Clinical Documentation. So if you get rashes start making yourself a pain in the ass at the dr. show them the rashes and keep the name of EVERY product you try. If you have been doing this you are already ahead usually they want atleast 3- 12 months of documentation depending on how far the skin hangs the frequency of the rashes etc.
Then you get a referral to a plastic surgeon some surgeons will reduce their rate for added on non covered services since everything else is getting paid for.
like my plastic surgeron is charging me 1500 instead of 6k to do the added on services since i will already be under.
just remember make a pain out of yourself with your pcp if you haven't already if its back pain or whatever just keep going i know its money. depending on your state. (sorry I didn't look)
i know Mass General Hospital has a plastic surgery residency program that is half the cost and way above the rest when it comes to getting your boobs done and stuff like that. They have a waiting list but they do amazing work.
if you need anything else let me know. i am the insurance guru.
