Insurance denial!!

Debi, thanks so much for your  prayers and kind words.  I'm going to appeal for sure and we will see what will happen then.  One way or the other I'll get the tummy tuck, we were just counting on the insurance paying part of it.  DH is making a big sacrifice by selling a few assets(we don't have many!) so I can get this done.  So you can see every penny counts!

Please dont get discouraged, but I just filed with Foriegn service (Federal Employee Health Benefit Plan too) and I appealed mine three times and through OPM and still was a no. (My problem with filing with OPM was that I am overseas so I had my surgery then filed for reimbursement (which is required for overseas people) and that 'not enough photo documentation to prove it is other than cosmetically necessary' - even though the surgeon wrote that it was to restore functionality and it was medically necessary.

Good luck! I dont think there is a reason for approving or disapproving, but I think they are paid to disapprove people.

Cassandra,  thanks for your post.  I'm sorry you got denied too, it must have been very frustrating.  I agree that they want to disapprove us and make us give up on the whole thing.
I'm not giving up so easily though, I'm fighting!   If I lose, I lose, but at least I'll try.
I love your name, by the way.  I always wanted to be called Cassandra when I was growing up, but was just plain ole Bonnie instead!
                      Good luck to you,   Bonnie
