Breast reduction 11 days ago
Everything went well. My surgeon made me stay one night in the hospital. It was an option for me but after surgery she said she felt more comfortable having me spend the night and keeping an eye on me. I guess I bled more than she wanted and she was afraid that one breast was going to reject the new nipple. So far so good. No signs of rejection.
How long before I feel good again? I feel good most of the time especially in the morning. Then at night my incisions itch like a mother and I am a bit sore.
For those of you who had this surgery how long before you wore whatever bra you wanted and felt 100% healed with no itching or any other after effects?
Thanks

Hi,
I had my BR over 2 months ago (6/29/09) and i must say it has been sooooo difficult to recover from. Just today I pulled out a huge stitch out of one side!! I feel stuff pulling and tugging inside, and I still can't sleep on my stomach. However, I do love how they look, and I have gone strapless and braless! The itching subsided after a month and a half, but comes on sometimes. I was instructed not to wear underwired bras for 12 months. After 2 weeks I was able to wear soft bras.
Good luck.

Oh jeez not what I wanted to hear but I am happy to hear from someone so new post-op like me and I always want the truth so thanks for letting me know.
Last night I said to hell with the sports bra, it was irritating me beyond belief. I took it off and went back to bad and it felt soooooooo much better. So, my first braless night
I was instructed not to wear underwires as well. My sister in law had this done 3 years ago and says she still doesnt wear underwires! I guess with the lift we hardly need one.
How far out were you before you started going braless and strapless. My surgeon told me I could go ahead and not sleep with the bra, I just was afraid not to because I didnt want anything to make them sag. Last night was when I finally got frustrated enough to do it!
