10 days post-op

I had surgery on Mon., 8/24 (tt, implants, inner thigh lipo).  I am glad I had all 3 procedures done at once, because I know I would never have gone back for another surgery after enduring such pain.

My drains were removed on 8 days post-op.  My stitches are due to be removed from breast and belly on next Tuesday (15 days post-op).  I have a lot of swelling, which is what I expected (thanks to you guys) so I'm not too concerned about that.  I wish my breast will drop some, I look like the incredible hulk in the chest right now, but they do look amazing.

The first four days I was walking hunchback, on day 5 I began straightening up a little and today I am almost upright.  Not completely, but close to it.

The pain is no joke, my doctor wants me to wear a girdle for my thighs and belly, but I swear it's too small for me.  It's killing my belly!  I swear this damn girdle is trying to kill me, but the doctor insist that it's not too small.  Anyway, I trust him with my life so I will continue to wear it.

I've been sleeping in my recliner and waking up with a stiff neck most days.  I have been experiencing something a little strange though.  When I fall asleep with my head back I wake up coughing. Could this be a sign of a problem?  I try to sleep with my head propped straight up but sometimes it's hard.  I can't wait until the day I can climb back in my bed comfortably!

My left leg continues to go numb when I lie down, the doctor doesn't think it's a blood clot or anything so I try not to worry too much about it.  Have anyone had the numb leg symptom?

I will put before and after pictures up after the stitches are removed next week.

Wear the compression no matter what it feels like....it's essential to contain the swelling and get the capillary beds all functioning again.......as to your boobs dropping...I was pretty horrified by mine at first.....but about 2 months later I was very pleased...and now I love them.  I have 3 day postop pics of my boobs and as they are now......on my profile........take it slow.......you will heal and believe it or not I only remember the pain when I look at the pics.......: )     Susan

When you fall asleep with your head back you are probably cutting off your air a bit and creating an apnea event.  Do keep your head propped up and you will be fine.  Healthy healing.  Loris
