out of surgery on 8/26 and now hematoma

one of my drains was plugged so he unplugged it but it plugged up right away so i worked on it and it now drains great.  problem is it is blood, pure and simple. talked to him over the phone and he said it sounds like a hematoma and that complicates things. he will discuss it with me tomorrow.  what does the hell does he mean, why couldn't he just tell me over the phone so i won't imagine all sorts of dire cir****tances.  does anybody know about a hematoma?  i have one drain removed but the others are still flowing good, especially the one that  has real dark blood in it.  another is getting darker also.  i will keep u advised on what he says tomorrow, but advise would be appreciated. tks. vick

Perhaps he wants to see for himself before diagnosing you over the phone and making worry if its not necessary.  I'm sorry this is happeing to you, I'm sure it will all be ok. Hang in there!! Please keep us updated on your progress.

What did you find out about the hematoma.  I had one in my right arm/armpit.  It was miserable.

i don't even know where the one is that all the old blood is coming from. i think it might be on the right side but not for sure, however, it is my left side that bugs me the most. how are your arms now?  vick

My  dr explained to me that is old blood, now actual bleeding.   A hematoma is where you bled internally and now it is trying to get out.   I think the more it drains the better.    Mine did not train in the tube but around the tube.  My Dr. Sauceda messaged it to get more to drain out.
