Where did my appetite go?

I ate a taco for dinner on Thursday night. I did not eat a single thing on Friday when I had surgery.  I did steal a few sips of diet coke from a friend who visited me on Friday. I spit it up. :(

Saturday morning I tried eating, I finished a hard boiled egg. That was all I had. This morning I had a scrambled egg. I'm NOT HUNGRY!!!

When will my appetite return? Should I eat anyways even though I'm not hungry?

I would have to say YES.  Your body is healing and needs you to help it along.  Protein helps the healing process.

Congratulations =)

I remember not having an appetite after my last surgery.........but you should push in some protein at least.  Try some drinks and bars.....  If you eat nothing you are slowly starving yourself and now after surgery your body needs nutrition more than ever so it can heal.
Best wishes

You definitely need to eat whether you are hungry or not.  You should at least be trying to get in 100 grams of protein.  You don't want to have any open wounds or healing issues while you are recovering.

Good luck!

Get in some smoothies if you can. Lots of protein!! Vicodin did cut my appetite after my surgeries. Didn't last long enough, tho!! ha ha Good luck, sounds like you are thrilled with your results!!
