I read a lot of people talking about mons. What is that?

The short answer is it is the area covered by hair in the nether regions.  There are clinical definitions but this pretty much explains it.  It is the area on top of the pubic bone.

Oh and there is a lovely picture on Wikipedia (NOT)  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mons_pubis

Yeah, it's the pubic area. Usually it's kind of droopy after weight loss from extra skin, and it gets pulled up during a TT.

Dang, That seem like it would hurt. I don't believe my surgeon will have to mess with that because it doesn't droop to me. Actually my belly doesn't hang that much over my pubics.

It doesn't really hurt, but it is weird to have your anatomy moved, lol. Be sure to talk to your surgeon about this, because most often during tummy tucks the mons is tightened up a little.

Generally after massive weight loss the mons does need a little tightening.  It is generally done as part of the TT and at least for me I did not notice any extra pain from this.  But oh, honey the benefits, even for an old broad like me.  Woww!!!!!!

Thanks and you are too funny. I can see it now but I guess it will really be noticable after surgery. No more shed on  top of it.

Hi Red!
You are cracking me up! I'm hanging onto the hope that the "beneftis" will out weigh the pain of having the TT done.
