Happy Surgiversary to me and One week Post Panni Removal!
I'm two years out today from my RNY. Down 135 pounds and one week post panni removal. I have to say, no one can really tell you what plastic surgery is like. I may be weird, but I find it strange now that my "hoo-ha" is right there in front of me.! For years, it has been hidden under my flap of belly skin, not to mention stretched out from years of weight sitting on top of it. Now, when I take my panties off...there it is...plain as day!! HA HA! Anyway....My upper belly would have been great to have a tummy tuck along with my panni removal, but I am a single mom and my insurance would only cover the panni removal. I saw my surgeon yesterday who took my drains out! THANK GOD! Next week its staple removal. I'm awfully tight "down there" and my upper tummy is tight against it and hangs over a bit. Over all, I'm happy I had the panni removed. I think things (hopefully) will loosen up a bit once the staples are out. I can't imagine what its going to be like to put on a pair of pants and not have all that belly to tuck in. I am waiting until my staples are out I think to try that. I have a few cute capri sweat pant types I have been wearing. I even wore my boy frineds shorts he left at my house. All mine are HUGE! I look forward to my ever-changing body. I keep buying a power-ball ticket in the hopes of finishing plastics...ha ha! I appreciate everyone sharing their stories here as welll as those who are brave enough to share pictures.
Have a great rest of the week!
