Hernias and tummy tucks?

For those of you who had major hernias before you were 2 years out that needed repair asap, did you get the doc to combine the tummy tuck even with more weight to lose?
If yes, how did you go about asking for it and did you use a plastic surgeon for both procedures or did you have to have a general surgeon for the hernia repair portion?

I waited it out- my plastic surgeon did both simultaneously.
