Dr. Siamak Agha: the good, the bad and the ugly?
I found this, but it doesn't give the source of the protein -- you could write the manufacturer:

Hi Diana,
I'll be having surgery (arm lift/breast lift and augmentation) with Dr. Agha on Friday . It's the first of my two scheduled sugeries with him (LBL/thigh spiroplasty/butt augmentation is scheduled for Dec). I have to warn you... the ProCare tastes horrible!! The first few days I started taking it, I would literally gag with every sip. I finally found a recipe that is both easy and tolerable (add some plain protein powder and orange flavored Crystal Light to the ProCare powder and use lots of ice). Dr. Agha and his patients swear that this helps with surgery and recovery, so I'm doing what I have to do, and I'm sure you will too! : ) While the ProCare is never pleasant, it has gotten to be tolerable for me.
Best of luck to you!
Michelle

Well, I'm happy to bring you some good news... NO, it's not thick. The consistency is like a crystal light powder fruit drink, not a milkshake or chalky drink like most proteins. The directions on the ProCare container suggest to mix it with milk... I'd suggest not doing so. It makes it taste a whole lot worse. You'll get through it... another reason to do a lot of procedures together! The drawback of me doing them a few months apart is that I'll be drinking this stuff for the next five months (yikes...!!).
Oh YAK!! 5 months!? How long do you have to drink this **** before and after surgery?? Can you put tequila in it??
I am also doing this in at least two stages -- LBL and then face two weeks later; a few months after that, arms and boobs. I wonder if I could get a feeding tube put in so I could just pour it into my stomach ...

I've been drinking the Procare for a few weeks now and I agree that I would NOT mix it with milk or anything creamy. I can't imagine how that would be good.
I am mixing it in my small blender bottle with about 4 oz of SF grape kool aid and a good splash of Davinci SF cherry syrup. I shake it up real good, pour it over ice and drink it up really fast with a straw. It doesn't make me gag, although it isn't my favorite tasting thing either.
I too cannot drink any of the bowel preps without throwing up and getting sick and this is nothing like that. I think you will be able to find a way to get it down. I think the trick to masking it is the SF flavoring, it seems to be strong enough to give the taste of Procare a run for it's money.
Hope this helps.
