UPDATED!!!!! 9 Months Post-op, Just discovered something was left behind
Well, I can't blame him completely for it because we don't know EXACTLY what it is.. but chances are good that something was left behind.
I have the same issues with bumps from the perm stitches. :-/ I don't understand why they are so close to the surface. I have one in my right breast that pokes out a little (it's blue, so I know exactly what it is) and it bothers the hell out of me. I am too afraid to do anything with it though...
Which parts are mis-shapen??? I'm sorry that you're not happy :( I'm not totally happy either. My stomach is very odd. I have no BB and I have more fat on the sides than in the middle of my stomach. Dr Quiroz said that he can take fat from the sides and relocate to the middle so that it looks more natural.

There are two primary choices in life; to accept conditions as they exist, or accept responsibility for changing them.
I haven't had PS yet, but I sure have a very similar sounding bulge, on my left side under my ribs. It sticks out and is very visible, seems about the same size. I'm going to my PCP Tuesday, and hope to figure out the mystery. It's kind of scary wondering what it is! Good luck to you, hope you get to the bottom of this soon.
Sorry for your troubles ! Your surgeon is really the only person qualified to answer what "it" is, as he was the one there and knows all the materials that were used. Were there any problems in removing your drains ? Did one come out shorter than the other ? Usually a retained or broken drain will be obvious when you pull one side out and its 4-5" shorter !
A hematoma this late would be very unusual. More likely would be a gossypiboma, which is a mass from a retained sponge. But, again, whatever "it" is should be answered by your surgeon. Please keep us posted !

WOW, what a nightmare. Sorry to hear about this.
So far as your vacation.......if you cannot travel due to a medical reason you can request a refund. I just had to do the same thing for non-refundable tickets. I got the letter from my Dr stating I am unable to travel.........I submitted it a couple weeks ago and the airline acknowledged they are working on my request.
Good luck to you on getting this "bulge" identified and fixed.
Keep us posted.
