4 week pics added
Boy, you guys are good....I didn't even get a chance to post that I added new pics and I have some photo comments alreadyI Thank you for your kindness. I will never be 20 again, but I can't wait til 1 more week so I can start exercising again. Just like I consider the WLS a tool, I think my PS is a tool also. I can't wait to see what weight training and cardio can do to tone up my new self.
As I type, It occurs to me that I was never this weight or size even when I was 20, lol! The arms rock, the girls are settling in nicely, the tummy is great, but I still have some fat I need to work on, and my thighs are awesome. So far, the outcome of each procedure has exceeded my expectations. The rest is up to me. I have stepped up the massage from regular to "aggressive" and hope to see improvement with the "lumpiness" of the scar tissue. and I still have 1 1/2 weeks of compression to go. I'm thinking that I will still wear the garments when I exercise, maybe indefinetely.
Does anyone have any advice for those annoying stitches that I see popping out occasionally? The blue ones I pull out, cause these were the outside ones, but I have pesky white ones which I have just been snipping as close to my body as I dare. Wait and see?

Diane,
I keep going back and looking at your results, and I am just so impressed! Your scars are so minimal and look so great! Did you do anything special in advance ? Extra protein ? If so how much extra ? Certain Vitamins or other OTC things ? Are you doing anything special after you got home ? You seem to be healing better than most, so I would love to know if you have a secret !! ;)

Thank you so much! I didn;t do anything special before, just exercise, and the only thing I am doing now is using the Kinesio Tape on my scars. My friend is a rehap specialist, and I am very luck to have her do the tape for me, assess my scars and show he how to massage to break up the hard lumpy areas of scar tissue. It is not much fun, and a little painful, but I want optimal results so I do it. What works best for me is a very soapy bath poufy thing, in the shower.
I had everything done at once in Mexico, and can only say that Dr. Sauceda is an excellent surgeon, and I am faithful at following his directions for aftercare...massage, compression garments and just plain taking it easy. I also didn't take any narcotic pain medication follwing the surgery, so I didn't have any constipation or grogginess associated with that. By the time I was coherent enough to ask what kind of pain medicine I was receiving, I found out it was only ibupropen, I realized that wow, it was working just fine for my pain! I switched over to tylenol after 2 weeks, and usually just took some tylenol pm to sleep.
Now I can't wait to start exercising again. (who said that, me?) I have one more week to go, but I actually took a slow walk on the treadmill yesterday, and did just fine. I think I might dust off the WII Fit and start with that for some low imact exercise. Thank you again for your compliments, and encouragement. I could not have done this without your support!
