39 Days into the Butt Lump Crisis.... (Good PIC)

This pic actually tells it like it really is, pretty much-- I had just taken off my compression briefs-- it actually gets more swollen than this at times.

Mmmkay-- day of surgery-- weighed 154 pounds.
Surgeon removed 9.5 pounds in my abdomen alone.
Today, 39 days later? I weigh 155.2 pounds. (I am eating less than I am spending.)

What the hell kinda math is THAT?????? And when the hell are the Franks and the VanDamme's gonna move outta my secret ass annex?

My hump. My hump. My dopey camel hump. "Whatchoo gon' do wif all that ass?"

Oh, and say hi to Shira, Jr.-- my hip sore-- which has happily decided to get much smaller and fill in, thank goodness. And enjoy the new raw stretch marks from the Lou Ferrigno-ization of my skin from all this blasted fluid!

Good news department: I can move. I am just in regular pain, not agony. My arms MIGHT be getting better. And the draining ooze over my hoo ha has crusted over and is staying relatively quiet.

Oh wow!!! I know this sounds like a silly question, but has your surgeon seen this with his own eyes? It seems like there should be something he could be able to do for you, even if it's just draining the fluid.

Of course he's seen it, ya silly! I insist that all my plastic surgeons keep their eyes open. ;)

Nope, waiting it out, for now. ::::humming, tapping fingers on desk::: Stupid interstitial fluid.

It looks like you'll need a full body lift (or at least the posterior part) to address that. There's only so much you can do from an anterior approach for that posterior-lateral bulk

I'm having the backside lifted-- but that's not the point. I'm just having a laugh at my swelling, actually.

This is the swelling from my recent abdominoplasty, in large part-- was not like this pre-surgery. ;) Sure I had a big butt, but it didn't settle in large hard cones! ;) There's no space in the abdomen anymore, so it had to go somewhere, I guess! It's in my backside and thighs-- 11 pounds worth of water. Yeesh!

When it's not completely swollen it compresses and looks normal in pants and I can sit normally.

You may not want to wait this out.  I'd see your PS.  I had a TT last year and developed a large seroma.  They can turn into a pseudobursa, which can ruin your results and can only be corrected by surgery.  If it is a seroma, you need to get it drained and keep it drained.  It shouldn't really be painful, and you will feel so much better.  Best wishes -- and keep the compression on it, it helps prevent more fluid from collecting.

I'll see my PS on the 18th-- he is 5 states away at the moment.

I can't wear the custom compression garment yet and my surgeon doesn't think compression's necessary or particulary useful for me at this point, unless it makes me feel more comfortable-- and it doesn't. On my abdomen and arms it all tends to crease when I am sitting and cut off my circulation. I do wear a moderate compression long-line brief  (goes to bra line) during the day much of the time.

If it's a seroma, it's a seroma that's in both side of my butt, my arms, both hips, both legs and my belly and weighs 11 pounds ;)-- I'm teasing-- but I am swollen all over---- so I feel pretty confident saying it's swelling-- that makes a lot more sense since I have a history of edema after surgeries. I'll keep my doc posted though-- thanks.

I vaguely recall you said your surgeon is a couple of states away from your home.  Can you give him a call, tell him you are going to email some pictures so he can see it.  Maybe it is fluid he can aspirate.

Sure hope all the "swell hell" eases up real soon for you...you've had it bad for long enough.
