How long until you could get your pants back on after Abdominoplasty?
I swelled but mainly as the day progressed... and still do some. I cannot imagine..... I hope your water weight comes off soon. Fingers crossed for u.

My guess would be that you didn't drain from the drains as you were maybe "3rd spacing" meaning gathering fluid between the cells (interstiical space).

It just isn't cool and I am sorry you are dealing with this. It has to go down eventually. I would think lymphatic massage in your case should be covered by insurance but I read you post that it wasn't and that is stupid. Can you have your doc request it to be a covered service since your body is apparently ticked off and even creating stretch marks to provide adquate room for fluid retention? I think he should.

For the first 6 weeks after my tummy tuck and butt lift I wore sweats and stretchy pants that were a size larger than my jeans because of the swelling, then from weeks 6 - 8 all of a sudden all of my swelling went away and by week 8 my pre-surgery jeans were loose on me. I went from a 8 to 6 after my tummy tuck then from a size 6 to 4 after my butt lift. I felt so tight for the first 6 weeks that I felt like my skin was being stretched. You may want to ask your doctor about giving you a mild diaretic to help you eleminate excess fluids.
