Tummy Tuck - Not too happy - Gallbladder scar
I'm sorry you're going through this I hope everything works out for you.
I had a very large scar from an open gallbladder surgery and my plastic surgeon was able to remove it with the anchor cut. I had a circumferential TT with anchor cut and I am happy with my results except he could have taken more skin with the anchor cut. I'm planning on having a revision when I have my breasts done.
I'm not sure about your situation but I had a scar about 15 inches long and my surgeon removed every bit of it.
You could go to the hospitals billing dept and talk to someone about your bill, maybe they could write some of it off. Just a thought. Debi
Well I do not recall anything discussed by the 3 surgeons I saw regarding a circumferential TT with Anchor cut. I am not sure if I would have gone for it or not. Could be they did not even mention it because I work overseas, and I only had 5 wks to recover before I had to leave the country. Maybe that was the reason for that not being an option given. Not sure now. But I guess in a few years I might have a revision and see what can be done. Right now I am not interested in any more surgery for quite a while. I had several in 2008 and then in Jan 2009 the TT. I need a rest!! My surgery issues 2008 were not huge issues, but I litterally had one in March, one April, and anther in Oct to repair an anal fistual which I had for over 30 year. So it was one of those years!!!
I am trying to get an apt with a manager in the billing dept to meet with me in person on this bill issue. They have just screwed it up...no doubt about it.
Thanks for your feedback.

I understand completely, since Nov 07 I've had WLS, a complete hysterectomy and plastics all 3. A circumferential TT with anchor cut is what I had or some people call it a LBL. I needed it because I had alot of fat on my butt and hips that needed to be removed. The anchor cut removed my muffin top. I went back to work less than 3 weeks after it but I have a desk job, I would have went back at 2 weeks but I had 6 drains and couldn't bathe/shower until the last drains came out.
I hope you get your bill resolved to your satisfaction.

When my brother died after a long stay in ICU, his bill was a quarter of a million dollars. The insurance was only billed around 15,000.00. Not sure why they had to pay so little, but the rest of the bill just somehow "disappeared". His estate was billed 200.00. I think these hospital bills are sometimes complicated, but often, after everything is paid you won't owe nearly as much as the original bill says. I hope not, anyway. As other's have suggested, call customer resolutions and try negotiate for a lesser amount. I bet they will toss out much of the 7000.00 they say you owe. Sorry you were less than impressed with the results. I hope things work out well for you.
