Post Brachio Soreness with Pics-- anyone have this?

Right above each elbow on the inside, but the left one looks worse (and is pictured)-- doesn't show well in pics but it's a big swollen lump, purplish-red, and burns. Ideas?

Yes. about 1 1/2 months post op i had burning type pain in my right arm, it got pinkish, then purplish as the pain worsened. Dr says he thinks it was a abcessed stitch. I put wet/hot compresses on my arm. made it feel good. But, hey im no doc, check with your ps. I had this problem 3 times actually. PS says either the abcess will heal or come to top. Mine just healed inside. Good Luck.

I looks just like my right arm did/does. It started about 2 weeks out. My surgeon did 2 rounds of antibiotics thinking it was cellulitis. I had minor improvement.

It is beginning to resolve now at about 9 weeks. The burning usually indicates that your nerve endings are coming back to life. Massage has helped the most. My surgeon discourage heat because she said I might inadvertantly burn myself.

I am using a foam pad to support my elbows at work since I tend to rest on them when I work on the computer.

Thanks-- I keep the heat really low and test it on my good arm first so I won't burn myself. I figured I was getting off easy-- except for minor sparks I had NO pain from the arms at all until this week.

My arms actually have bothered me more than my TT/BL - and that is with a double hernia repair.

No more surgery - I don't care what my thighs look like!

Ow! That looks very painful. Next week I get arms and rest of body fixed. I will be in your shoes soon, I'm sure. Heat has helped my fat necrosis on my legs. Hopefully, it will help you, too. Keep hanging in. You are a trooper through all your crap that you've had to deal with. Totally an inspiration.

Looks like mine did when I had major infection and fluid build-up. The docs ended up draining a lot of fluid and I ended up back in the hospital on major IV antibiotics. Please see your surgeon as soon as possible. I put it off and I was one sick puppy by the time the docs saw it.

I had two spots that looked like that, although I don't remember too much burning along with it. but perhaps I was just focused on my *overall* agony! :)

Mine was kind of red/extra swollen/sore, and it subsided at about 8 weeks.
