3 drains gone, one to go!

Hi Everyone,
Just got home from the ps and he removed 3 of the 4 drains.  I am 19 days out from surgery, but the one drain it still going strong (about 75 cc a day).  He left the one in, but really wants to remove it by Friday.  He said leaving them in too long increases the chance of infection and will start causing a lot of irritation, which in turn causes more fluid.  Anyway, I am praying that the drain does it's thing and can be removed by Friday with no other complications.

Other than that, things look really good.

The drains are uncomfortable, but are kinda necessary for a while. My right thigh drain was removed while still producing about 30 ccs per day. I had leakage after... The first time it squirted half way across the exam room! it's closed now, though, and seems to be fine. Hang in there!
