$3350 for Brach????

OK, I called the plastic doc my Rny surgeon reccomended and the nurse said the average cost for brach was $3,350!!!! I about peed my pants!!! I was expecting MUCH more than that!!! Needless to say, I have a consult set up.

I also have consults set up with 3 other surgeon so I can compare. I wont just go with the cheapest. But DANG!!! $3,350???? That sounds GREAT!!!!

that is probably just the DR. fee make sure they give you the whole pkg price for facillity & anesthesia

It's your BODY, for cryin' out loud!  Go with "the best"!!!

My surgeon charged $3,500 for my arms but that doesn't include the OR, anesthesiologist or hospital stay fees, they're extra.

I paid $2,000 more than that....be careful if a surgeon is doing all procedures much cheaper than most.....
Talk to LOTS and LOTS of surgeons.

Thanks everyone!!! I do have 3 other consults set up. However, this is the surgeon my RNY surgeon recommended. And he has his own surgical center and I thought his nurse said that included all the other fees. I will find out for sure at the consult, and also interview the other surgeons in the area. I am hoping since I am in the Midwest, where almost everything is cheaper, the costs will be a little cheaper

Hi -- I had my 1st brachio consult last week  & the price was $3, 950....not much more than yours.  I agree with the comment that part of that is the surgeons fee ($2000 in my case) and the rest the facilty fee & anesthesiologist.  I'm having a 2nd consult next week to compare.  Best of luck to you!! :-)
