Thanks for your reply. I am in Indiana now. I have asked around here and did end up with the name of one PS that I feel pretty good about. BUT, one of my neighbors here told me a horror story (I know, it seems like everyone always has some kind of "horror" story to tell those of us who've gone through WLS, be it about the surgery itself or things like PS) - I just thought there must be some place on the internet to check a surgeons history of problems or complaints.
You're right that we can't expect perfection and we're all different in our outcomes, I just want to be as careful as possible.
Hopefully the revisions on your arms will give you the look you were hoping for. Good luck to you, just think about how far you've come and how good you're looking now! Yeah I wi**** was easy as being Barbie too.....but imagine being stuck with Ken for the rest of your life...haha

you need to make sure you check out your own state's medical board.
Also make sure you go to - american board of medical specialities
abms.org
you can sign up for free - and check to see if your PS is listed with them.
Only board certified plastic surgeons are listed on that site.
you should also check out the american board of plastic surgery
hope this helps

What about your arms makes you wish you hadn't done it? I am trying to decide if I'm going to have mine done and it basically comes down to a trade off. It's either flappy skin and self conscious about wearing no sleeves or a big scar and being self conscious about wearing no sleeves. I'm on the fence.

Having been jacked up by a surgeon last year I suggest:
1 - The state medical board site of the state they are licensed in. If you see ANY complaints or actions - RUN
2 - google 'doctor review' and look at the sites that come up - there are many and again, if you see any shadiness - RUN
3 - you MUST speak to and SEE someone or several folk they have worked on. My surgeon THIS year worked on several people that I used to work with so I was SURE he wouldn't jack me up.
Good luck to you! and my last piece of advice..... if at ANY point you feel uneasy or unsure - trust your gut and RUN!!!!!
