medicare and panni

does anybody here use medicare?  i called to see if they paid for a panni, due to rashes, and she sd they don't preapprove(which i knew).  that i just needed to get the doctor to write it up so it would have a better chance of approval. any tips that i could offer my doc on what yours did to get it approved?.  thanks for input. vick

Hello Vick; I had my primary care physician refered me to the plastic surgeon with a brief health history.  Then the plastic surgeon evaluated me took pics and submited the paper work to my insurance.  One of the most important reasons for my approval was t he inability to maintain proper hygene which can lead to other serious health problems.  I wish you the best of luck......

 

is your insurance medicare?  i think they work in a totally different way. thanks so much for responding. vick
